SHABBAT SHALOM!
When you leave a shop & the sales assistant says Shabbat Shalom, you have to smile. And when you’re having dinner & you glance across at the apartments in the next building, & you see all the people on each floor sitting at their Shabbat tables, you have to smile!
I’m finding people here really friendly & courteous on the whole! It’s surprising and it feels good!
Early this morning Jeffrey went to buy chicken for tonight’s dinner. I also made fresh chicken soup which was a big hit with everyone tonight at dinner.
Later we took the kids to visit Zev’s Space Spectacular at Hangar 11 at the Namal. It was lots of fun.
We visited the Friday market which was packed with people & was very hot.
DKAJH spent the afternoon at the beach & the pool. Best place to be!
Jeffrey & I went for a bike tide to get a few things for dinner & to Neve Tzedek which was already closing for Shabbat. It was a hot ride so I had a dip in the pool when we got back.
Meanwhile we were preparing as the Hamersfelds were coming for Shabbat dinner. The kids had a lovely time singing & dancing together before dinner which we had on the terrace. It was a beautiful mild night & everyone was happy & they loved the food.
That’s all for now. Off to bed..
