TUESDAY 9/7/13

DEAD SEA & MASADA
After a leisurely start this morning, we headed off to Masada.
Opi has become Ayden & Joss’ personal storyteller. Ayden especially is hungry for learning about all the bible stories.

It was much busier at Masada than last time. And much hotter, although there was a very pleasant & welcome little breeze. After walking through a few of the ruins, Joss, Harley & I made ourselves comfortable under a sun protective canopy while the others continued exploring. I think they covered most of the ruins & loved every minute. Meanwhile Harley had a sleep in the stroller & Joss & I chatted.
In the shule there was s scribe writing a Torah which was very special to see. When Jeffrey took me there later, he had gone for a break & left all his work in progress.
We left after about 2 1/2 hours. there were so many people on the way down in the cable car! It was packed. I heard the driver say 68!! We drove back to the hotel happy & hot!.
In the afternoon we swam in the pool & the Dead Sea, then Kylie & I walked into town to check out all the Dead Sea products. There were so many different brands & types & prices, it was a little overwhelming.
Kids ate dinner in the hotel lounge after a wonderful day.
