So half the year has gone & 2/3 of our holiday.
Today we are preparing for DKAJH to arrive late tomorrow.
3 hours after Jeffrey went to pick up the hire car, it was ready to go. He came home in between of course, but it was just another example of Israeli red tape. The “who cares” theory!
Therefore much later than planned, we left for a tiyul to Herzliya. We visited the Shivat Hakochavim Canyon which was fun. I needed a bit of retail therapy although I didn’t buy anything. From there we drove to Benedict’s for afternoon tea. We shared blueberry pancakes - yum!!
A short walk from there are the lifts down to Herzliya beach. We sat on the beach till sunset (we had brought our beach chairs with us). The beach is really nice.. A rubber matting walkway down to the shore.. NO MATKOT players!! Lots of families.. A lovely place! The only negative is all the rubbish that people leave when it’s time to go!
It only took us 20 minutes to get home.
With Japanese dinner on our minds, 45 minutes was too long to wait at 9:15pm, so we settled for T/A shwarma which was not the same, but nevertheless yummy!
