THURSDAY 20/6/13

JERUSALEM
It was 16 hours from when we left the apartment this morning, to when we returned tonight. The second day of the conference was as stimulating & full on as the first.
Today I was humbled & overwhelmed to see & hear 90 year old Shimon Peres give 4 separate inspiring & totally different speeches within a few hours.
For the second time this week, I was in awe of Benyamin Netanyahu’s strength & charisma, & his confidence in Israel’s future.
There were so many speakers, tops in their fields, from all over the world, talking so eloquently, with such confidence, knowledge & power.
I felt privileged & proud to be here & witness such Kavod for Israel, to hear how progressive & talented Israelis are in their fields, what potential there is within this small country, & how desperately the people of Israel want peace.

We attended the President’s Conference Keren Hayesod closing dinner which honored the contribution of Frank Lowy to Israel. We sat with Shimon & Veronica Farkas, and Sue Hoffman, with her son Josh, & her parents.
I am totally exhausted, but to stand & sing Hatikva in Jerusalem at such an occasion as this, was so very emotional.
