MONDAY 10/6/13 VISAS

After weeks & weeks of visits & phone calls & waiting, after more than six & a half hours (2 1/2 hours longer than the limit JA put on the Visa process), we recieved the call that the Visas were granted & ready to be picked up.

So Jeffrey jumped on the bike this morning at 7:30am, arrived at the Dept Of Immigration, waited in queue till security opened at 8am, took yet another number to wait his turn, AND THEN WAS TOLD THAT HE COULD ONLY PICK UP HIS OWN VISA!

So back on the bike, rode home, got in the car, drove me to the Dept of Immigration, waited for me to go up (too hard to find a park), go through security, NOT take a number, ask for my Visa, wait while they look perplexed & went away for 5 minutes (toilet break or what?), FINALLY GAVE ME THE VISA, & drove back home!!

Now we both have our extended Visas, we don’t have to leave the country after 3 months. But I have an exhausted, frustrated, & annoyed husband. Wait a minute.. take a deep breath, look at the view from the terrace, a small shot of whiskey & it’s absolutely worth the effort.

He says he’s going to write a letter to the Ministry but… it’s behind us now!
