WEDNESDAY 5/6/13

The good news is that Jeffrey got a call from the Ministry of the Interior to say that we can have our extended visas, or work visas or Israeli passports.. All we want is to be able to stay till 12th August! What a waste of time & energy on both ends!

This morning R&K took themselves on their own walking tour of the high end design shops of north TA. They were extremely impressed! Looks like I will have to go & see it all for myself.

More washing, food shopping, trip to the bank etc. Then this afternoon R&K and Jeffrey did the Dialogue in the Dark tour in Holon. We’d done it before but J did it again. It is a very confronting & humbling experience to spend an hour and a half in the total dark with a stick & instructions from the guide, to do normal everyday things without the gift of sight. It was a very good tiyul.

We also visited the Ron Arad Design Museum in Holon, which is a very beautiful & original piece of architecture. The setting is cramped in the middle of residential apartments so you really don’t get to appreciate it fully. Unfortunately we knew that it was closed as they are setting up a new exhibition due to start in a couple of weeks.

Tonight we ate at Meatos & once again we had a very tasty & enjoyable dinner with Rohan & Kate.
