Great day today! Drove from TA to Mini Israel this morning. This is a scaled down version of the major places, buildings & land marks of the country. It was actually fortuitous that we waited till now to visit, as the kids could recognise many of the exhibits from actually seeing them in real life. From my point of view, while the miniature trees & gardens were well manicured, the buildings were very tired & in great need of renovation. Kids enjoyed it very much. I love the concept, love the place but..
From there we drove straight to the Dead Sea. Quite a decent drive which Jeffrey & Gavin shared. Not much traffic which was great. The hotels are all in Ein Bokek which is past Ein Gedi & past Masada. It’s a lovely area as there are massive majestic mountains behind the hotels & the beautiful serene Dead Sea in front. It’s the lowest place on earth! We had a dip straight away which was fun for all & then finished off the afternoon in the beautiful pool of the Isrotel Hotel.
The sun is getting ready to set, the kids are getting ready for bed, G&O are going to have room service & Jeffrey & I are planning to eat in the hotel restaurant (after his massage). What a great day!
