Day one in detail!

So here’s our arrival story.. And it will answer the question about why we stayed in a hotel last night.
We had a great flight & 1 hour connection to ElAl in Hong Kong which went very smoothly. ElAl staff met us at the Cathay arrival gate & escorted us all the way to the ElAl departure lounge in plenty of time.
Our luggage arrived with us which felt like winning the lottery..
So we arrived at the original apartment at 1:30am to find the tenants had not yet left till today.
The agent wasn’t answering his phone so we took our luggage & went to find a hotel for the night. The Sea Apartments were fully booked as was the Metropolitan, but we ended up getting a room at the Park Plaza for the night. To bed at 3am!!
As it turns out the agent had sent us an email while we were en route but we didn’t see it till this morning when we had wifi.
So this morning we went to the bank to collect our credit cards, however they only had one for Jeffrey & mine is still being processed. Will be ready hopefully in. Couple of days.. or so!
From there to the agent.. He showed us the alternative apartment which we really liked so have decided to take that one which is in the next door building to the previous apartment.
The new one is available from next Monday so he’s giving us a smaller one in the same building till then. That’s where we are now. A bit of a balagan, but all happens for a reason. We’ll end up with a nicer place.
In the middle of all this, we checked out of the hotel ( with its free phone calls to landlines worldwide), & made our way to Zev’s Hangar 11 in the Namal (port) to get our new Israeli SIM cards.
It’s all good! Sounds a bit wordy & a bit of a saga but i think that’s because I’m tired.

So SHABAT Shalom to you all with love from Tel Aviv xx
