FRIDAY 9/8/13
Tumblr hasn’t been working for 24 hours now. I don’t really know what to do about it!
Winding down & getting organized.
This morning I spent a couple of hours with Laura, Elly & Gitle. It was fun to be together & hard of course to say goodbye. We have done some great things together including Karmiel & the President’s conference, as well as numerous dance classes.
Jeffrey had a haircut & I’m going to the hairdresser on Sunday.
Spoke to the kids for Shabbat. We miss them. It is our 20th Shabbat in Israel & only once did we eat at a hotel. Every other week I cooked, with Jeffrey’s help of course. We’ve really enjoyed having Shabbat with our kids & grandchildren, entertaining, & just with the 2 of us. We will miss eating on the terrace overlooking the beach & Jaffa, with Friday night live music from the beach bar across the road.
We have now returned all the stuff we borrowed so Jeffrey took the bikes back today. He had made an arrangement with the man at the bike shop, to buy our bikes back from us at a reduced rate when we were ready to leave. It worked out well. We’ve had so much fun riding around. My confidence has improved & I was less nervous & enjoying the riding in the end. And how convenient that Jeffrey could just zip around TLV to do messages & shopping on the electric bike. Even though he was so frustrated with people who walked or stood & refused to move off the bike paths & footpaths.
Judy & Chaim came for a pre Shabbat dip in the sea. There were lots of people on the beach today. The weather is hot! We went back to the beach later & stayed in the water again for sunset which we both really like to do.
